Fitting a Superior IO-360 - Controls & Bracket

The Vans FWF kit supplied bracket part No. VA149-360. This bracket has both controls on one side. The Silver Hawk EX kit is marketed as a carb replacement kit. So I tried Vans other control bracket VA182 which worked with minimal modification.

Control cables. The Vans FWF kit supplied the 45" cables. The mixture one is at least 2" too short. If you fitted the next size up 47" I think it's far too taught. I went for the 50.5".
The FWF kit supplied throttle was also 45", It just fits but again I feel it is far too taught. The 47" would be better. However I ended up fitting the 50.5" the same as the mixture.
Solution for my Superior IO-360 (with fuel servo -3015012 - mixture reversed) I fitted: VA , Mixture 50.5" and Throttle 50.5" (47" would also work).

Bracket VA-182-PC (THR/MIX BKT IO320/360) works on my Superior IO-360 with Precision Siver Hawk Injection Servo.

This injection servo has the 'reversed mixture' control to enable the control lever to point up. This avoids the need to modify the air box.
The Vans FWF kit supplier Bracket VA-149-360. This will not work with the precision Silver Hawk injection servo. It will only work on a servo with both throttle and mixture on the left hand side (viewed from the front of the engine).

Bracket VA-182-PC (THR/MIX BKT IO320/360) works on my Superior IO-360 with Precision Siver Hawk Injection Servo. (nut on rear stud is only there to hold bracket in position for this picture).
Throttle control.
This is the fully rich position. With airbox plate fitted - no longer needs to be modified.
